Overtime
& leave
Calculate overtime pay, and the annual leave balance due and its value, under the Saudi Labor Law.
How we calculate it
- Article 107
Overtime
Overtime hourly pay = normal hourly pay + 50% of the hourly rate based on basic salary. Hourly pay = monthly pay ÷ 30 ÷ daily working hours.
- Article 109
Annual leave
21 days a year, rising to 30 days once the employee has completed five continuous years with the employer. The balance is calculated pro rata.
- Article 111
Balance value
When employment ends, the employee is entitled to pay for any leave days due but not taken, based on their wage.
